Sketches + Research

The concept for this project was to replicate the Nike NBA “City-Edition” jerseys. Upon choosing the Washington Spirit as my team to create for, I researched events and historical references about Washington DC.

I discovered that 2022 was the 100 year anniversary of the Lincoln Memorial. I began sketching jerseys that would reflect this monuments milestone.

I decided to create a geometric, modern marble pattern consisting of 28 different sections as a nod to the Lincoln Memorial's construction.
